I look too young for my age, can anyone help me how to look mature?

I'm 22 asian male and too often people see me as a 16 year old. I'm often stopped at bars for an ID check. Even when I'm buying cigarettes or buying a rated-M video game. It's very humiliating. Can someone help me how to look older? People have told me to grow out my facial hair but unfortunately most asians can't grow that many. Thanks.

hi dude, am from India and i know how embrassing it would be to actually send your girlfriend to get tickets for a movie cos they wont give you unless you show your Id proof. Anyways for me, it improved a lot better after i got facial hair but you have problem with that as well. So try putting on a little weight(eat, drink and sleep), wear high heal shoes, Try to get some pimple marks. Be careful with what you dress.

Hope it helps.

try using a cane and putting baby powder in your hair. use glasses and wear shapeless, drab dresses with food stains. for an added touch, wear hose that bags around the ankles and sensible, orthopedic shoes.

Don't worry when you are 60 you will appreciate it.

Haven't you read the signs - If you're over 18, and lucky enough to look under 21, you may be asked for ID, so do not be offended.

It is required by law to check ID's

if you go to the same place every time they will get to know you and you wont get carded as much

Quit complaining! Looking too young should be your biggest problem! Most places will err on the safe side and card you until you're well into your thirties. Oh, and stop smoking. It's really stupid and will fulfill your dream of looking old all too quickly.

Work out. Grow your hair longer?

Don't feel guilty that you look young, feel great. Accept the compliment. I am in my mid 30's and have 2 teenagers and I still have people thinking am in my early 20's, I take that compliment and run with it.

Appreciate your youthful appearance while you have it. I started losing my hair in my 20's and at 34, I'm often told I look closer to 40.

With that in mind, try getting a different hair cut or dressing differently. How you present yourself has a lot to do with how old people think you are.

Don't worry too much about having your ID checked. For alcohol and tobacco, the cashiers are generally going to ask themselves if you look under 30 and if they think so then they'll ask for ID. When you go to a bar, it's pretty much standard that they will card everyone unless it's obvious they are well over 21, and at 22 you can always expect to be carded.

Same here,

Im 19 male and look about 16 or younger

Some of the best tips I got were growing facial hair and wearing formal a attire,

But since you can grow facial hair that well then,

Try using different clothes, Clothes can make you look ore mature also try to be act more mature (Facial expressions, walking ,different hair style ,etc)

Try lifting weights, getting muscles ,more body mass that helps alot.

But overall, try feeling older (Its also a mind thing)

You may think it sucks now, but when everyone else looks old you are going to be able to still enjoy all the perks. As long as you can't be denied because you have ID, don't let it bother you. Just imagine being 30 or 35. You will still look good enough to get females 18 and up. Just think of it as having more options. Some people pay top dollar to look younger. Feel blessed and don't look at it as a problem.

The solution here is to start "feeling" like a Man and people will notice =).

You might want to tell yourself one of those affirmation statements or something....so you could get into the habit of feeling that you are a Man and that you Feel like a Man...and believe it. Surprisingly, telling ourselves things over and over and over again really makes us believe it without faltering in the future.

They way I see it is that once you start Feeling like a man, and 'a strong, dependable, very competent and capable, responsible man' at that, your posture and mannerisms (and behaviors in general..) will show this automatically and people will no longer see you this way. It's all from the inside. (and how you see yourself)!

If i were you I would make a statement that went something like "I'm a Man now, and I notice in the ways that I am becoming one more and more now Everyday in everything that I do."

or maybe "I'm a strong, dependable, trustworthy Man, and I know what it feels like to be one."

Whatever it is, just make sure it makes you feel that way that you want to feel, that way that you imagine you should feel....as a 22 year old man ..and not as a 16 year old boy...Get me? The point is to make you feel that way you want to be feeling as a 22 year old man.....so many times...... that any doubt in your mind that you really just are that way completely dissipates into nothing! You have to repeat this feeling over and over again, though, for this to happen. And how do you repeat the feeling, by repeating the statement which produces that feeling! There you go ...a lesson on affirmations. Lol. A big part of The Secret.

(shhhh!) Loll
