How can I teach my dog to more accepting of other races?

My dog is very well tempered and extremely well behaved. The only thing about her I wish I could fix is that she barks excessively and raises her back hair whenever she sees someone that doesn't look like her family. When my white housekeeper comes over she is fine. When my white neighbors come over she is happy and accepting. When a white insurance saleman comes over she is fine. But when my Asian Indian neighbors stop by she feels the need to bark excessively and raise her hair. She does this to our black neighbors and Asian Chinese neighbors as well. How can I teach her to not to be threatened by different looking people.

When the dog is racist...usually there is a problem with the owner.

Was she adopted? My friend got a dog from a racist owner (the dog attacked black people) but is now fine around most ppl (she doesnt like ones randomly walking by but most dogs attack anything in dark colors that seems suspicious.)

It could also be the fact that the people visiting are uneasy. We have the problem with a few of our dogs. They bark and go into attack mode when people who arent so relaxed stop by.

Hi But a Dog Silencer. Does not hurt the dog but will teach her not to bark. Uses ultrasonic sound.

It may be that she is reacting more to the amount of time they actually spend there? Or perhaps she smells something different (cooking spices, soaps, colonges, etc) that she doesn't smell on others? Dogs are funny. My male IG reacts funny with men. He especially hates men with gas, oil or chemicals on their hands and will try and rip them a new one. I NEVER let him near any men, without asking them if they have anything on their hands, as my dog will bite them. Why does he do this? He's insane to be sure, but why? I don't know, have had him since he was 5 weeks old, he wasn't abused, the breeder was a very close friend of mine, and there is no "reason" for this, but nonetheless, he is on to men with any "smell" that isn't natural. He also alerts to any new kids in the area, new vehicles, new anything really. I have attributed this to that he is a hound and they have extremely sensitive noses and can see for miles. The trick is to re-educate them to behave. If I have a service man coming in, he goes into his kennel and I lock the door, so the man can do his job uninhibited by my "killer". If company comes, he is not allowed to jump, bark and so on. It has made him much more agreeable, but took work to make him stop "lighting" on people and things in the house. Still, he can't help warning me "someone new is in the neighborhood". Oh sure, cars can drive up and down, but don't slow down, or pull in, or he's up off the couch and barking like a fool. Just the same, I have everyone's schedule and know who belongs here and who doesn't, because my dogs make sure everyone else knows it too, and once he knows its someone who belongs, he can sleep through it. But let a new kid skate down the street, or a new car pull into the driveway and he's got it! Don't worry Mom, its the new kid, I'll bark till he leaves. Sheesh!

I have this same problem with my dog. But he only does it to hispanics because where we used to live the neighbors (hispanics) would throw rock s at him. Since then he growls and barks everytime he sees a hispanic person. I haven't found anyway to stop him yet. I know this doesn't answer your question but I just read an answer that said you were a racist since your dog seems to be and I just wanted to let you know that.... that may not be the case.
