I think that it is probably as close as you can get to finding a doll that is most like you and your daughters. I am sure they are not the only makers of one of a kind dolls, but it is the only one that I know of.

Buying toys for my son i see some girl toys i dont know what age group your daughter is in but
dora the explorer doll is a nice one. And i seen some dolls called "Bratz" there was a asian/black doll. I agree get her a variety. Try toys r us if you got one there they have even different races of barbie also.

the bratz dolls are different ethnicities and they do make ethnic barbies, but you really have to search for them and also american girl dolls. if you go on the mattel website that should help
