I have read a lot of these anime posts on here and I find it to be a bit offensive when people claim that these characters look "white". In essence, you know these anime characters are very "attractive" so are you saying that it cannot be asian? Since when was having big eyes a trait that only westerners have? Just because someone has a different colored hair does NOT denote that we as a people desire to be "white" maybe a desire to look unique and new but NOT "white". I do know our culture likes to dabble with the west but it does NOT mean we will discard our heritage. I can guarantee you manga artists do NOT sit down and the first thing he thinks is what "white" girl or guy to draw. Otherwise he would've given them a western name like John instead of Uzuki and I don't know ANY anime that has never made it CLEAR that there was a character that was NOT japanese. These claims are only furthering the stereotypes made about asians and its not really a true appreciation of our culture
