hmm, I guess I'm the first Asian to answer...

Yes, get layers. Depending on how you have them done, it can make your hair fuller or thinner. I find that long layers can make thick hair thin out a bit. But I have short hair, so I like for my hair stylist to make my hair fuller. Even layering with 4 inches past the shoulder will still put into a tidy ponytail. I was able to do a pony tail when my hair was just past chin-length.

Just make sure you have a good stylist. I have had my hair assaulted too many times by people who didn't understand how to cut super-slick hair. Now I have a FABULOUS stylist in Hollywood (Thai Town) who always does a fabulous job!

absolutly why not. If you do them long layers but very textured they would give your dead straight hair a little lift and style just make sure they are long layers and very whispy and textured if not they will look very blunt and look like steps so go for it girl.

If you want to be able to still put in pony tail the layering should be started at or slightly past your shoulders. This type of layering will really frame your facial features.

I used to have a so called "scene" haircut but my hair grew out and got cut. I recently moved and the hairstylists around here are basically asian places and at times don't know what I mean when I ask them to do something with my hair. Should I take my chances and go and tell them to razor cut my hair? Or show them a picture of a sort of cut that I want? Or should I just look for a more professional place...

You should print out a picture, and if they mess up it'll be okay because the basis of the scene cut is to have it choppy and uneven. Try to get a picture that shows all sides of the haircut or different pictures that show different side of the style.

I think it would freak her out a bit to see you looking so different, especially since you were friends with her before this whole thing started. I personally don't know how I would feel about dating a guy who suddenly reappeared looking handsome in part because of plastic surgery... I prefer natural beauty, and I don't think I'd be able to get it out of my mind that his eyes were "fake." She's probably already got it in her mind that you're kind of a weirdo, and for you to show up at her doorstep looking like a completely different person would likely scare her off even more... she might get the impression that you're trying too hard. Of course, I could be completely wrong about how she would react... I'm just saying how I personally would react in this kind of situation.

If you want to get her attention, I say you should do it in a more subtle way. You say you're modeling now, so what if you had a mutual friend show her some of your current photos (without mentioning that you had asked the friend to do this for you)? Or, what if you found a way to "accidentally" run into her somewhere? Instead of chasing after her, you should make her want to chase after you.

Look past your parents, the answer may lie with your grandparents, or even great grandparents. M y daughter, for instance, has the same nose, unfortunately large nose, of my grandmother--clearly identical from her pics--my grandmother was born in 1884, daughter in 1984!

You should get the green. They would look natural on you and if you want them to look like you had green eyes since you were born, go with that. But if you want more of a change, the dark blue will still look natural [kind of like Alexis Bledel]. Depends on what your natural eye color is. I have brown eyes and got dark blue color contacts, and you can't see the brown behind it. My friend on the other hand got green eyes and had natural dark brown eyes and you can totally see the brown behind it and it looks really fake.

They will both look totally fake. Dark eyes can only be changed with opaque lenses, which make your pupil always appear to be the same size. It gives people a hard, robotic looking stare!

Upper Lip Waxing?

I'm asian and 13 years old. I'm constantly told that I look like I'm starting to grow a mustache? And it really annoys me, so my mom bought me the Sally Hanson Hair Remover Wax Strip Kit. I was just wondering if I should actually do it or just leave it. Will it hurt? Do I pull the wax off fast? Please just help :)

Actually, waxing is the best thing you can do. If you shave it off, the hair will just grow thicker. If you wax it off, your hairs will just grow finer until you can barely see them! And yes, it will hurt! But if you can deal with like...3 seconds of instant pain and like 5-15 minutes of after pain, you should be good to go!

ok, well i shouldnt do a wax thing i should just buy Nair Lip Hair Remover. you dont have to pull the wax, you just wash it out. so it doesnt hurt and i comes out very smooth.

I'm a waxer, but since you are so young - you should try bleaching it with Jolen Creme Bleach. That's what I did when I was younger and the hair blended right into my skintone (I'm not aisan but I have a yellow understone to my skin color). Once I hit my twenty's I started waxing (but I go to a salon to get it done).

Try the bleaching first and if you don't feel it's enough, then go to a salon to get waxed (I really don't suggest doing it yourself -- especially the first time around)

A better alternative is threading (which can also be done for your brows if you need it) if that is an option for you. Threading is really quick and almost painless. The hair doesn't come back for weeks, it will NOT be thicker, and it's good if you have sensitive skin. If there is a salon that does threading close by don't pay too much for it (not much more than seven bucks).

Yes you should do it. The more you wax, the thinner and slower the hairs will grown back. In a few years you won't have to do it anymore. You pull of the wax fast. It will hurt a bit, but its not PMS painful. Maybe go to a professional the first time.
